Such indemnity extends to reasonable legal costs incurred by Envirocon arising out of the claim by the third party.

All blocks purchased through our Ecommerce platform are excluded from the Buyback Guarantee.
Envirocon offer two types of freight options.
OPTION 1: Envirocon Organised Delivery
OPTION 2: Customer Organised Pick Up
These guidelines outline the terms and conditions of each type of freight option.
OPTION ONE: ENVIROCON ORGANISED DELIVERY
The price of freight will be automatically calculated at the point of purchase on the e-commerce platform. The price of freight is determined by a combination of the weight of the product, the volume of product, and the delivery location. Freight pricing is subject to change at any time without prior warning.
For 600 and 400 Series blocks, Envirocon will deliver the blocks on a flat deck or curtain side trucks. The customer needs to ensure they have appropriate equipment (forklift or similar) to offload the blocks on arrival.
For Unibloc Series blocks Envirocon will deliver the blocks on a flat deck, curtain sider, or ute. The customer needs to ensure they have appropriate equipment of labour power to offload the blocks on arrival.
Dunnage is material (wood) stowed under blocks to prevent damage or instability during transport.
All flat bottom blocks must be transported using dunnage; standard dunnage measures 100mm x 100mm x 2400mm wooden dunnage. Envirocon automatically includes the cost of dunnage into the price of Flat Bottom blocks.
Clear site access is essential to the smooth delivery of blocks. When establishing whether there is clear access to site customers should keep in mind blocks are transported on large trucks, often fully loaded and weighing in excess of 33 tonne. The following should be considered when assessing site access:
- Access – Average width of trucks transporting blocks are 2.5m wide. Access should be a minimum of 3m wide. Ensure over hanging trees, plants, or other obstacles are either cleared in advance, or are sufficiently high enough for trucks to pass under.
- Turning – Trucks will require sufficient space to turn on site. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify their Envirocon rep if turning space is limited.
- Unloading – The most efficient way of unloading blocks is to unload blocks two at a time from either side of the truck deck. This requires a minimum of 6m clear space on either side of the truck to provide a sufficient and safe working area.
- Stacking Blocks – After being unloaded the blocks are required to be stacked in preparation for use in the structure. Good ground conditions may allow for blocks to be stacked 3 high. Stacking blocks as close to the final place of installation reduces installation times and minimises the need for double handling and potential damage. As a general guide for 3 blocks storage space of 1.5m2 is required.
- Ground Conditions – Good access requires firm level ground, capable of bearing the weight of a fully loaded truck and trailer. Where weather causes ground conditions to change your Envirocon rep should be notified immediately.
- Gradients – Where access to site is via ground of varying gradients the customer must ensure it is passable by a fully loaded truck. Steep gradients, or incorrect prepared roads can result in an inaccessible site.
NB: Delays caused as a result of the site not complying with the above guidelines will result in extra charges being passed on to the customer.
OPTION TWO: CUSTOMER PICK UP
Where the customer opts to collect the blocks the following terms and conditions apply.
- There is a minimum 24 hour notice period between the placement of order and the customer arriving on site to collect blocks. Any variation of this stand down period must be agreed with Envirocon.
- Envirocon’s Dispatch Manager will make contact with the customer on placement of the order to organise a collection time.
- Blocks will be collected from Envirocon’s Penrose Collection Plant located at 667b Great South Road, Penrose. On arrival the customer must report to the office, with a copy of the order confirmation.
- For 600 and 400 Series blocks, Envirocon will only load the blocks on a flat deck or curtain side trucks. The customer needs to ensure they have appropriate equipment (forklift or similar) to offload the blocks at there site.
- For Unibloc Series blocks Envirocon will load the blocks on a flat deck, curtain sider, or utility vehicle. The customer needs to ensure they have appropriate equipment of labour power to offload the blocks.
- The customer must supply their own load constraints and dunnage;
- Blocks must be tied down to the deck.
- It is expected that land transport regulations are complied with. Where chains are used edge protectors should be used between the chain and the edge of the block to prevent damage to the block.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they comply with all regulatory requirements, including all applicable NZTA requirements.
GENERAL TRANSPORT INFORMATION
EFFECTS OF TRANSPORT ON BLOCKS
