Interbloc’s retaining walls are modular, with the system made of interlocking concrete blocks. This means Interbloc delivers an incredible build speed and efficiencies - a two-man team can build up to 160m2 of wall per day. It’s these characteristics that make Interbloc cheaper than other retaining wall systems.
Whether temporary or permanent, Interbloc is a perfect solution for your requirements. The system is primarily gravity-based. However, it can be vertically reinforced post-installation to increase the out-of-plane bending capacity of the wall. Alternatively, the wall can be tied back into the retained ground using geogrid.

Central to the Interbloc system is an innovative concrete block. A standard Interbloc measures 1200 x 600 x 600mm and weighs 1 tonne.

Interbloc casts reinforcing ducts through the centre of the blocks at 600mm centres. This allows vertical steel reinforcing to be installed post placement using the Reidbar system. This enhances the structural integrity of the wall without compromising the speed of construction.
