Since 2004, Envirocon has been taking high quality certified excess concrete and turning into unique precast concrete modular wall systems:
Our interlocking concrete block system is engineered, highly productive, low carbon, and zero waste. They’re made for temporary or permanent solutions, and can be used for anything from bulk material storage and retaining walls, to barriers and bollards.
The simplicity of the range enables the civil engineers, architects, builders and more to meet the demands of their customers and implement sustainable solutions easily.
Make your designs come to life on screen. EnviroBuild is an online tool that helps you design Interbloc walls, bins, bunkers, & more.

Interbloc is a precast concrete modular wall system. A unique and innovative mass concrete block (weighing 1 tonne) sits at the core of the system.
Interbloc's benefits are:
Stonebloc is a concrete block retaining wall system,. It's primarily used by homeowners, group home builders, and residential developers.
Stonebloc's benefits are:
BollardBloc helps Kiwi businesses protect their assets. Starting at 1 tonne, this moveable concrete bollard is designed to protect from raid raids without detracting from the visual appeal.
Even with the different concrete block systems, there is a string of benefits that is seen across the range.
The Envirocon system delivers a 97% reduction in embodied carbon relative to the average carbon cost associated with concrete production*. Interbloc is backed by an Environmental Product Declaration.
Envirocon is a Product Stewardship Scheme accredited by the Minister for the Environment under the Waste Minimisation Act 2008.
At the end of life, Interbloc structures can be non-destructively dismantled and reused. This creates a circular economy.
Interbloc and Stonebloc are designed to be high productivity precast wall modular wall systems. This means you can install more walls with less inputs relative to substitute systems.
Our wall systems achieve this through our proprietary interlocking system shear key, lifting system, and NZ code compliant engineering.
During installation the blocks self-align and positively interlock, meaning two installers using common lifting equipment can build up to 160m2 of wall per day.
Envirocon’s Interbloc and Stonebloc precast wall systems are backed by comprehensive, code compliant, structural design methodologies.
While primarily a gravity wall system, Interbloc can be vertically reinforced post installation to form a cantilever wall - increasing the loads the wall can take. Envirocon leverages the established Reidbar system for vertical reinforcing.
For ultra high load retaining walls both Interbloc and Stonebloc can utilise a Mechanically Stabilised Earth wall design.
In all cases Envirocon can provide structural design and technical support.
When creating structures with our concrete blocks, you don’t need to fix them permanently. With Interbloc and Stonebloc’s interlocking shear key you can simply dismantle the structure and use them elsewhere. You can always turn your temporary solution into a permanent one later on, too.
If you no longer need your Interbloc blocks, you can sell them back to us via the buyback guarantee.
Our range is manufactured locally and we’re continuously expanding our national presence to bring manufacturing even closer to our customers. In doing so we’re
- Reducing the cost of freight
- Delivering sustainability benefits to local communities
- Increasing response times
- Creating local jobs
