Top and Bottom Fixing Kits tie a wall together. By doing this, the individual modular blocks act as a single wall. In a Top and Bottom Fixing Kit the Main Bar is inserted through the reinforcing ducts from top of the wall. The Main Bar is then tied off at the top and bottom of the wall.
Main Bar – a single length of Reidbar cut to length suitable to the height of the wall.
Washer – Suitable to the diameter of the Reidbar being used.
Reid Nut – a nut to tie off the top end of the Main Bar
Welded Washer and Nut – used to tied off the bottom end of the Main Bar
Once the wall is fully constructed, insert the Main Bar through the reinforcing ducts cast into the blocks at the top of the wall.
Place the Welded Washer and Nut into the wooden holder, and insert through the recess in the base of the blocks.
Manipulate the top of the Main Bar until it connects with the Welded Washer and Nut. Turn the Main Bar to fully engage the Washer and Nut.
Place the Washer over the top of the Main Bar, and then screw on the Nut. Tighten the nut with a torque wrench.
